Aaja Nachle is a Bollywood movie released in India and in the United States on 30 November 2007.The film stars Madhuri Dixit in her first film after six years, alongside Akshaye Khanna, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Kunal Kapoor in pivotal roles.Shooting began on 15 January 2007 at Film City in Mumbai and continued till March 2007.The film was released November 30, 2007. The first film trailer released with the movie Chak De India, and the second with Laaga Chunari Mein Daag.
After nearly a decade, an unexpected phone call shakes Dia out of her dance rehearsal in New York.Makarand, her guru, is dying and she must return to Shamli — the town where she grew up, the town where she learnt to live and to dance.Also the town she left on an impulse, severing ties with her parents and her people.

It is a poignant and troubled return; as Ajanta, the institution that her guru so lovingly nurtured is under threat of demolition because the local political authorities feel it a waste of prime real estate.Dia sets out on a mission to prevent the destruction and resurrect the spirit of Ajanta.In an atmosphere of mistrust, ridicule and active hostility, Dia agrees to achieve the near impossible task and for this she has only two months or the bulldozers will be waiting.
