No Smoking is the much talked about movie by Anurag Kashyap starring John Abraham, Ranvir Shorey, Ayesha Takia, Joy Fernandes, Paresh Rawal, Bipasha Basu, and Saif Ali Khan.This film is supposedly meant to demote smoking by showing how horrible it is, and the kind of things it can result in.The film was previously named ‘Cigarette smoking can be injurious to health’.The makers finally decided to go in for a shorter name, “No Smoking” for its catchyness and its ability to convey the message of the film.Talking about the music, it is composed by Vishal Bharadwaj, with vocals from Adnan Sami, Sukwinder Singh, and Sunidhi Chauhan to name a few. It’s not really extraordinary, but still pretty good. It is being made under the banners of ‘Big Screen Entertainer’ and ‘Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures Pvt Ltd.This film was shot in Mumbai, Russian Federation, Kazakistan and Siberia.

K (John Abraham) is badly addicted to smoking and he is not able to get over the obssession no matter what.He sleeps, drinks, eats and lives smoking literally.His wife Anjali (Ayesha Takia) is fed up with her husband’s addiction and walks out of his life and promises not to return until he quits smoking.Then K for the first time ever, thinks seriously of quitting smoking.He learns of some baba Sealdahwale in Kolkata who has the cure for all kinda of addictions and obssessions.K decides to seek his service to get rid of smoking.

After getting into an agreement with this baba, K’s problems are only worsened. He finds himself in the middle of an agreement from which he cannot get out of easily unless the deal is complete.So, will K be able to complete the contract and escape from this baba and thereby, quit smoking or will he be stuck forever?
