Watching tyhe movie “Aashiq Banaya Aapne” feels like being served a stale meal.The movie Starring Emraan Hashmi ,Sonu Sood and newcomer Tanushree Dutta , the film is a love-triangle between two guys who vie for the same girl.The film also marks the directorial debut of Aaditya Datt who has relied more on style, technique, gloss and glamour (courtesy Tanushree Dutta) to make the movie interesting.
Karan (Sonu Sood) is an introvert who loves Sneha(Tanushree Dutta),his college-mate but cannot muster courage to express his romantic feelings to her.Although Karan’s feelings are evident to many,he is content in just seeing Sneha smile and never gathers the courage to tell her now he feels. Vicky is Karan’s childhood friend.The opposite of Karan, Vicky is an extrovert and a notorious flirt.

At a party, Sneha gets introduced to Karan’s friend Vicky (Emraan Hashmi) who is quite an outspoken person and immediately strikes a common chord with her.All three lives change, when Vicky joins Karan and Sneha in college, and Sneha begins feeling drawn toward Vicky. Fearing Vicky’s intentions, Karan tries to talk him out of his relationship with Sneha, but Vicky assures him that this time he is really is in love with Sneha and not flirting.

Now Karan feels he has lost the only woman he has ever loved but knows he cannot do anything about it.The closeness between Vicky and Sneha cross all boundaries,and just as everything seemed set between the two, one night shatters them both.But this certain incidents transpire in Vicky’s life that break Sneha’s trust in him.She returns to Karan to seek emotional support in her time of pain.

A relieved Karan finally musters the courage and proposes her.But when as Sneha and Karan are just about to get engaged Vicky re-enters their lives.The three friends reunite for that one night and that one night spent with him changes their lives forever.So this is the movie where there is a twist in the tale at the story’s end.But this twist is not the least convincing, owing partly to the poorly written climax and partly to actor Sonu Sood’s bland performance.
